I have learned that saying to your brain don't, can't, try and those kinds of words, the brain doesn't register them, so if you say something like: "I don't want that", your brain hears: "I want that". Hmmm, if that is the case, then err on the positive side and always phrase your needs in the positive affirmation way, making a concerted effort by catching yourself if it is a negative statement. It is hard at first, but I still catch myself doing the change. Cancel, clear, delete the negative and start over. If you can do it while meditating, I believe it creates that much more power to you to make those changes. Check this article out here:
